Director’s Cut will be opening the Slamdance Film Festival in Park City Utah January 22, 2016. Unable to get tickets to the premier?! Not to worry, Slamdance Film Festival scheduled a second screening opening night to accommodate everyone. 

Did you know: Adam and Penn raised $1,164,928.00 with a total of 4,736 crowdfunders contributing funds to make Director's Cut. 

Director’s Cut Synopsis:

"The ultimate “meta movie,” Director’s Cut is an insane, cinematic sleight of hand trick that reflects on itself, much like the stage persona of its co-star and creator, world famous illusionist Penn Jillette. Here, teamed with acclaimed Director Adam Rifkin, Jillette conjures a mind bending, genre-defying movie-withina-movie mash-up that’s part narrative thriller, part docu-mental-case. Starring Missi Pyle, Director’s Cut is about a cineaste stalker who kidnaps his favorite actress and forces her to star in his amateur movie. The madness that unspools behind the scenes will leave you reeling."

Penn Jillette & Adam Rifkin had star studded premier... along with a Q&A session about their lives as filmmakers, how they did it, and what steps you can take (or not take) along the way to becoming a successful Hollywood filmmaker. 

If you were unable to make it out to Park City for Slamdance the next screening of Director's Cut will be on February 2, 2016 at the ArcLight in Hollywood, California, as part of their Slamdance Cinema Club series. (ArcLight moved Director's Cut to a bigger theater and has released more tickets to the once sold out show) so get your tickets asap!

"The concept: Adam Rifkin’s “Knocked Up” has been stolen by the maniacal Blount and re-edited using a mixture of the finished film, deleted footage and Blount’s own on- and off-set recordings… most interestingly, those in which he records himself stalking, kidnapping and eventually shooting new scenes with film star Missi Pyle, with whom he is completely obsessed."
